Rogers Transport cuts the ribbon on its new home in Port West estate

Multi-faceted transport provider, Rogers Transport, has cut the ribbon on its new Port of Brisbane warehousing and depot facility at the Port West Industrial Estate at Lytton.

Delivered by Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) and Principal Contractor, FKG, the 4.96ha site includes a 15,700 square metre (sqm) warehouse, 1,450sqm purpose-built workshop with fully automated truckwash, 370 sqm office and two recessed loading docks.

Supporting PBPL's commitment to targeting a 5-star sustainability equivalent rating on all new property developments, the new facility incorporates:

  • an EnviroConcepts water recycling system in the truckwash, which will reduce water use by over 90% 
  • Holcim ECOPact concrete product for the extensive concrete pavements, which significantly reduced the overall carbon impact of the build
  • 99kW rooftop solar system
  • water and energy efficient fittings
  • rainwater tanks for stormwater harvesting 
  • reused and recycled materials in civil works.

PBPL CEO, Neil Stephens, welcomed Rogers Transport to the Port of Brisbane community.

Alongside Principal Contractor, FKG, the Rogers Transport development was delivered with project management by Gaskin Construction Services and architecture by SPARC.  

Construction commenced in June 2023 and was completed in April 2024.

Rogers Transport has joined Port West alongside ten other global and national businesses including Bunnings, Fisher & Paykel, Steelforce and iOR, with Stage 1 of the 89-ha estate now fully committed.  

Immediately adjacent to Port West Stage One, the second stage of the Port's industrial estate is being progressively developed to meet market demand.
