WISTA / FTA Speed Mentoring Night & WISTA Christmas Drinks

Women's International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA) in conjunction with Freight and Trade Alliance (FTA) look forward to hosting this valuable new professional development initiative.

We encourage you to join us for this informal event to be introduced to your future mentor or mentee.

Get to speak to industry peers at 10 minute intervals to see if there is a connection. We have a mix of people interested in becoming mentors and looking to be mentored joining the event and we anticipate this event will lead to some mentorship relationships taking form for the new year. It is all about finding the right fit for you both, and in all aspects a mentor relationship will add value to both mentor and mentee.

You may get introduced to someone that can be an invaluable support in helping you achieve your goals.

The speed mentoring session and speaker event is free for all to join but limited to 50 registrations.

Join us at the conclusion of the speed mentoring session to continue the conversations at the WISTA NSW Christmas Drinks.

Unlocking value across the container logistics supply chain

Transport inefficiencies that start at the terminal gate have a flow-on effect right across the container logistics supply chain, trapping value and depressing profitability for all involved.

But it doesn't have to be this way.

Connecting the community of container depots and terminals, cargo owners, shipping lines, and road transporters, Containerchain solutions support synchronised communication and operational predictability.

Features include real-time paperless tracking, frictionless information exchange, process automation, and optimised asset utilisation - as well as total container movement visibility for more proactive planning. The result is lowered cost of operations and improved profitability for one of the world's most essential industries.

Global Finance Report

Weekly Market Commentary
MGlobal equity markets continued to drift lower, as substantial US Tax reform, became less likely. The US congress has diluted any substantial tax reform and is not likely to pass even that. The US Treasury Secretary has warned of a massive correction in markets, if Congress fails to do their job, which is likely. Trump has done all he can, by executive order, but the swamp is committed to his failure. The NZD failed to hold the recent rally, drifting back to 0.6900, while the AUD traded around 0.7650. Political complications surrounding the 'eligibility issue' threaten the Government in Australia and uncertainty is bad for currencies and equities ... read more
