Fremantle Passenger Terminal getting $3m refresh

Work has begun on a substantial $3 million refurbishment of the Fremantle Passenger Terminal. A new central canopy, repainted facade, updated signage and new banners will soon greet cruise passengers entering the iconic building.

Fremantle Ports is constantly striving to ensure that the high level of safety, for which the port has been recognised, is maintained. Three safety initiatives, including use of a hydraullically powered, remotely operated pile cutter used to cut redundant piles along North Quay, are explained.

Our 2017 annual report won the WS Lonnie MemorialTrophy for best annual report in the WA Public Sector and was awarded the Public Sector Commission Award for Good Governance.

Golden Princess makes sunset debut

Megaliner Golden Princess made its debut in Fremantle on 21 March during a spectacular sunset. The ship, which carries 2600 passengers, stayed overnight and left in the late afternoon. Fremantle is expecting 43 cruise ships visits in 2018. Debut visits still to come are AIDDAAura and Azamara Quest both in December.

Over the years he has helped many authors, architects and members of the public seeking specific information. Alan has witnessed enormous change and says his career has been a fascinating journey since he began as an office junior in 1968.
