Hutchison Ports Sydney Terminal - Update

Further to yesterday's advice to members, Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received an update from Hutchinson Ports Australia that all appointments will be cancelled until 1000 today, Friday 20 April 2018.

An update to the working arrangements will be made at 0900 today with transport operators advised to check the TAS portal periodically for further updates.

Further updates will also be posted on the FTA / APSA web site.

DCN has reported the cause of the "unforseen event" being a workplace accident: 

A spokesperson for Ambulance NSW said a woman around 50 years of age had sustained serious injuries after reportedly falling around 10 metres from an "industrial vehicle" at about 12.10pm.
