Document Assessment Outside Business Hours Transition to New Process & Correct Application Procedure Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry

Friday, April 26, 2024

On April 2, 2024 Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) provided advice to members (available HERE) outlining the new process for requesting document assessment via the overtime scheme.

Following feedback from members and ongoing engagement with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry (DAFF), a self-help task card to assist with troubleshooting, completing, and submitting the overtime assessment request smart form has been released.

The primary concern raised by DAFF is the completion of overtime requests directly within a web browser, which has been identified as the most common issue preventing the completion of valid overtime applications.

Do not work on the form in your web browser.

To ensure the validity of overtime requests, members MUST utilise a PDF reader. DAFF strongly recommends Adobe Acrobat for this purpose.

You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader for FREE directly from Adobe by clicking HERE.

The Troubleshooting Task Card can be located HERE and provides guidance with the following:

1. Check the version of the form.
2. Check Adobe Acrobat reader (PDF reader) usage.
3. Check time field on the request form.
4. Check completion of Section D.
5. Check for multiple attachments per email.
6. Check mandatory field completion.
7. Check submission method.
8. Trickier troubleshooting.
