Exporting Australia's Wool |
|
"Australia no longer "Rides on the Sheep's Back" as it was once described. Nevertheless, wool remains one of Australia's most important agricultural exports, with a likely value of around $3.6 billion in 2018/19. This will put it in third place after beef and dairy among rurally based exports." |
|
The Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) is proud to support the Australian Council of Wool Exporters and Processors and thanks its Executive Director Peter Morgan for his commentary in the Spring 2019 edition of Across Borders.
We also thank Peter as a valued member of the formal APSA Committee of Management |

Weekly Market Commentary US equity markets surged to close the week. The US and China finally agreed to sign a trade deal. This was 'Stage One' of a comprehensive deal, which will be tabulated and signed in the coming weeks. President Trump hailed the agreement as a huge success, but it is not the 'comprehensive' deal he had previously insisted upon.
