FTA submission - legislation on Cyber-security / Critical Infrastructure

Tuesday, December 8, 2020
Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) partnered with technology security specialist Cyber Citadel in making a detailed submission to the Department of Home Affairs in response to the Exposure Draft Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure) Bill 2020.

Our submission notes that the international trade sector continues to be targeted by cyber-attacks. As well affecting major corporations, SMEs in the sector are also extremely vulnerable to attacks with FTA members reporting serious disruptions.

As a part of this submission, a comprehensive paper was released titled "The Threat to Logistics: Preparing for a New Age of Cybercrime" - available HERE
An executive summary of key elements of our submission is captured in this brief (3 min 30 sec) video.
FTA will be partnering with Cyber Citadel in 2021 to provide detail on cost-effective cyber-security solutions. In the interim, please feel free to reach out direct to the experts at Cyber Citadel - contact HERE
