SUPPLY CHAIN SNAPSHOT
For Australian exporters, outbound air freight pricing remains at least 2.5~3.5x more expensive now from the East Coast (and 4x from Perth) compared to pre-COVID.
Chinese carriers are resuming flights to Australia, increasing flights by 88% since the end of January 2023. In W/E 26 Feb 2023, 63 flights in total flew outbound from Australia to China. However, overall Australia to China flight numbers for February are still only 29% of pre-COVID levels.
