PLEASE NOTE - the development of new global measures for the avoidance of contamination of sea containers by invasive pests and cargoes will have a significant impact on international trade operational and reporting practices.

As outlined in Update 3, I have been privileged to work alongside Global Shippers Forum (GSF) colleagues and World Shipping Council (WSC) representatives in discussions on the WSC 'Pest Prevention Responsibility' and Verified Pest Prevention (VPP) proposals.  
 
Late on the evening of Tuesday 14 March 2023, I had the privilege of hosting a 25 minute recorded interview with Claudio Bozzo (COO - MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company) in terms of these proposals.
