A SENIOR World Customs Organisation figure has been confirmed as the first keynote speaker for the Global Shippers Forum and ICHCA International Conference 2018 in May.
Ana Hinojosa, director- Compliance and Trade Facilitation, World Customs Organisation (WCO) – is to present on day one of the Conference on May 10, 2018.
Ms Hinojosa was elected as the WCO director in January 2016 and previously was the president of America's Executive Women in Government organisation and the deputy assistant commissioner at US Customs and Border Protection.
According to the Freight and Trade Alliance and Australian Peak Shippers, this is to be the first time Ms Hinojosa has been in Australia to meet local customs broker and freight forwarders.
She is to be speaking on existing and emerging trade projects and the future of global customs compliance.
The Global Shippers Forum and ICHCA International Conference are being held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on May 10 and 11.
