1-Stop is excited to announce, International Container Terminal Services, Inc's (ICTSI) and 1-Stop Connections have jointly won the Grand Anvil for our Terminal Appointment Booking System (TABS).

Presented annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the Anvil is the symbol of Excellence in Public Relations. It is awarded to outstanding public relations programs, tools and, now, practitioners after careful screening by select PR professionals and judging by a distinguished multi-sectoral jury.

The brainchild of Christian R. Gonzalez, ICTSI Senior Vice President and Head of Asia Pacific Region and MICT, the rollout of TABS, a web booking appointment system for trucks coming in and going out of the port area, was key in easing Metro Manila traffic by managing the flow and scheduling the trips of container trucks plying the city roads, and in helping solve and prevent supply chain backlogs at the Port of Manila.

"The Grand Anvil for TABS is proof that ICTSI puts first the interest of the port community and supply chain stakeholders, the trucking industry in particular, and the commuting public in general. I thank PRSP for recognizing our TABS implementation as the first stakeholder engagement program in the supply chain sector to win the coveted Grand Anvil. We share this award with our government partners, the Department of Transportation, Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Bureau of Customs, Metro Manila Development Authority, the City of Manila, and former Cabinet Secretary Jose Rene Almendras, for being our co-champions for TABS," says Mr. Gonzalez.

"I also thank our TABS team for their hard work, patience and dedication, and our technology provider, 1-Stop Connections of Australia, who also implemented a similar system in our Victoria International Container Terminal in Melbourne," he adds.

Michael Bouari, CEO of 1-Stop Connections adds "We've always believed the work we are doing has massive benefits to all people in the community as 'we simplify people's lives and create more time for them' and this recognition is being noticed across the global which is helping us to open more doors in new markets."

The Grand Anvil is the second award received by ICTSI for TABS. In June 2016, the Philippine Institute for Supply Management and the Foundation of the Society of Fellows in Supply Management honored ICTSI with the Gawad Sinop Corporate Award for Excellence in Supply Management Practices. The Gawad Sinop award is the highest institutional accolade among supply chain management professionals in the Philippines.

ICTSI is hoping to pick up a third award related to TABS as they are also in the running for a Navis Award in the Collaboration across the Container Flow category with TABS being the feature throughout the award submission. These awards will be announced at NavisWorld on the 28 March.
