Further tour notice from 27 August 2018, Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has requested sample certificates and templates to ensure members are not accepting out dated or fraudulent certificates. The Department of Home Affairs is unable to currently issue copies of the approved stamps as they are the property of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC). The department is however currently working on an official notice as well as updating their FAQ page. In the interim, FTA understands that the new stamps are issued by one of the GACC 42 Customs Districts within China (GACC will not appear on the stamp). Each of the GACC 42 districts has its own stamp therefore Certificates of Origin (CoO) will each have the local Customs authorised body as the stamp. The AQSIQ prefix has also been removed from number the bottom of the certificate. If you have concerns over the stamp validity, we recommend contacting the Origin and Verification Team at chafta@abf.gov.au FTA will continue engagement with the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and will provide updates as detail becomes available. Department of Agriculture and Water Resources The department has today released advice 112-2018 – "Security features on new Chinese Competent Authority issuing certificates" The notice states that security features associated with the new Chinese government certificates remain unchanged. The below security features constitute visible indicators of a legitimate copy:Inclusion of the GACC logo on the left hand top side
