Seasonal Unpack DelaysDear Valued Customers, Due to the Peak season, together with the increase in "Seals Intact inspections" and the continuing BMSB issue, this has put all depots in Sydney at capacity which is hampered by the reduced availability of quarantine officers. This has reduced our capacity to unpack as all areas are full of freight with no one collecting freight whether due to officers or their own clients shutting down and not receiving over the Christmas new year period, we are now in catch-up mode. We have not closed the doors unlike other depots which have stopped completely or reduced capacity to their clients. As container unpacks are taking longer over this peak period for reasons stated above, we suggest you contact the respective shipping line to request an extension on empty container detention. Pick-up Alerts Prior to collecting from either Depots 1 or Depot 3 an email must be sent to pickups@priceandspeed.com.au advising collection time and date. Truck drivers arriving to collect FCL's without emailing us in advance risk being turned away as containers are most likely buried. I am sure you all understand that it is almost impossible to have boxes ready for collection if new cargo is arriving each day and we have not been advised which boxes are due for collection. While we will always do our best to have these ready for collection at both Depot 1 or Depot 3, the situations are very dynamic and are constantly changing. I wish to repeat that it is IMPERATIVE that we are advised at least a day in advance that FCLs will be collected to prioritise these for collection. |
