Dont Let Container Detention Dampen Easter and ANZAC Spirit

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has participated in a campaign with the Container Transport Alliance Australia (CTAA) and other industry bodies, each individually contacting shipping lines and / or generating broader awareness of the upcoming public holiday period and the lack of available empty container depots to dehire containers.
 
Adding to transport costs associated with the staged return of empty containers, major shipping lines to date have ignored requests for blanket extensions of "free time" to manage the container dehire process preferring to assess scenarios on a "case by case" basis.

FTA remains true to its commitment to showcase any shipping line that offers a blanket extension of container detention over the next two weeks.
