I'm pleased to announce that Sean Barrett, a former commercial director at DP World Australia (DPWA), is re-joining the company in the role of General Manager, Commercial.
Sean began his career as an officer with the Royal New Zealand Navy and moved into stevedoring with P&O Ports.
After the acquisition of P&O Ports by DP World in 2006, he spent five years in the United States as our Commercial Director – Americas Region before returning to Australia in 2011, where he took up a role with Patrick Stevedoring.
During his 2 years at Patrick, Sean oversaw business development for the container terminals and landside logistics businesses.
Sean has spent the last 5 years as General Manager of Port Operations with Swire Shipping and will join us in July, reporting to myself.
Many of you will know Sean which should assist in allowing for a smooth transition.
