190708 MUA DP World strike action.pdf

The Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) has confirmed earlier FTA / APSA notices that employees are striking for 48 hours at DP World Australia's Brisbane, Sydney and Fremantle container terminals.

New developments include an extended 96 hour stoppage in Melbourne – the full MUA media release is available HERE.

In terms of the Melbourne operations, DPWA has advised the following implications during the 96 hour stoppage commencing Wednesday 10 July 0600 to Sunday 14 July 0600.

"There will be no vessel or road operations during this time.

The R&D Schedule has been amended in line with the stoppage.

You will notice the following;
- The Discharge of the Cosco Felixstowe will be at ESD.
- The Receivals for the Hansa Freyburg are currently in question. Whilst receivals are still open at WST at this time, if possible to hold these units back until we can confirm berthing arrangements, it would be appreciated.

We thank you for your cooperation and if you have any further questions please email wst.rd@dpworld.com.au. We will be providing regular updates on any changes as they come to light."
