Dear customers, We are pleased to inform you the Maritime Union has withdrawn all industrial action at DP World Sydney effective immediately, ensuring all normal services at the terminal may resume. Additionally, the union have confirmed via written undertaking that they will not be taking any industrial action of any kind at our Port Botany terminal before 1 November. Without the distraction of bans and limitations, we anticipate we'll be able to progress outstanding local matters at DP World Sydney in the pursuit of a finalised enterprise agreement. As we communicated earlier this week, DP World made an urgent application to the Fair Work Commission to intervene on threatened industrial action at our Port Botany terminal, due to our serious concerns about the impact it would have on an already fragile NSW supply chain. Had industrial action not been withdrawn, our application would have been heard this afternoon, Saturday 19 September. We appreciate the assistance of the Fair Work Commission for listing the matter quickly, which facilitated this outcome for the NSW supply chain. We look forward to a return to normal service, and thank you for your patience and understanding during this period. Regards, Andrew Adam Chief Operating Officer, Terminals DP World Australia |
