VICT 2021 Landside Terminal Tariff & VBS Charges
Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) has announced its landside terminal tariff & VBS charges applicable from 1 January 2021.

The new tariff schedules can be downloaded:

CTAA is pleased that VICT has not increased its Infrastructure Surcharge above its current $131.03 per laden container.  CTAA believes that there was no justification for any increase in the current economic and trading circumstances.

There are increases in Vehicle Booking System (VBS) related fees, which are disappointingly above CPI, but not by the quantum announced last week by a rival stevedoring company.  For instance, the following increases are of note:
  • VBS slot fee - rises from $15.85 per slot to $18.25 per slot (an increase of 15%)
  • No Show Fee - rises from $160 per slot to $175.50 per slot (an increase of 9.69%)
  • Slot List Fee - rises from $70 per slot listing to $76 (an increase of 8.57%)
  • Late Receival Fee (exports) - rises from $300 to $325 (an increase of 8.33%)
In discussions with VICT senior management this afternoon, CTAA has reiterated the need for continued progression of landside interface improvements to offset fee increases.

It has been agreed that in the coming weeks, CTAA alliance companies and VICT will meet to progress identified productivity issues.  This will include the trial of import stack-run out capabilities and export stack-run in arrangements.
