Hapag Lloyd - Transhipment Cargo via Auckland - Port Congestion Surcharge

As per our previous announcement, due to ongoing congestion in the port of Auckland caused by reduced terminal labour and productivity, we will now extend the application and implement a Congestion Surcharge for Transshipment cargo via Auckland.

The Congestion Surcharge Origin / Destination (CGO/ CGD) of USD 250 per TEU will be implemented as follows:

Export cargo transship via Auckland to non-FMC trade lanes:

– CGO effective from vessels departing origin on or after 20th February 2021

Import cargo transship via Auckland from non-FMC trade:

– CGD effective from vessels departing origin on or after 20th February 2021

Export cargo transship via Auckland to FMC-regulated lanes:

– CGO effective from vessels departing origin on or after 22nd March 2021

Import cargo transship via Auckland from FMC-regulated lanes:

– CGD effective from vessels departing origin on or after 22nd March 2021

We will monitor the situation and will inform you as soon as Auckland Port operations return to normal.
