Sydney Port Congestion Surcharge - WITHDRAWAL.pdf

Sensational news !!!

Following this morning's Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) and  Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) member notice and broader advocacy, we are delighted to advise that we have had an initial "win" in terms of winding back the impost of the Port Botany Congestion Surcharges.

Hamburg Sud has this evening has advised that their "Port Congestion Surcharge – Sydney" will be withdrawn – further detail available HERE

We will not ease up the pressure and are pleased to advise that we have now scheduled a focused meeting with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for next week.

In the interim, we will continue direct engagement with shipping lines to encourage others to also follow reasonable measures in voluntarily reviewing existing practices and surcharge administration.
