Wednesday, September 15, 2021

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received the following advice from DP World:
DP World Port Botany Impacted by Covid-19

Dear Customers,

We wish to advise that two of our employees at our Port Botany Terminal have today confirmed positive tests for Covid-19.

As required in this situation, we are working with the NSW Department of Health to identify close and casual contacts of the affected employees.  Employees that are identified as being in contact will be required to be tested and potentially isolate before they return to work.

Consequently, this may have a limited impact on our operations at our Port Botany Terminal.

As always, our immediate priority is to minimise service disruption and will continue to take all necessary steps in order to ensure we continue to maintain our service levels for our customers, whilst protecting our people and the community.

We are working closely with the Department of Health with a Covid plan in place to minimise the transmission and any disruptions to the supply chain.

Thank you for your understanding and we will continue to provide further updates as they become available.
