Thursday, December 1, 2022

Freight & Trade Alliance  (FTA) has prepared responses to member questions, incorporating responses from the Australian Border Force (ABF), following the webinar titled "Depot & Warehouse Obligations – Nov 2022" delivered by Russell Wiese (CGT Law) on 9 November 2022.

Webinar recording available by registering HERE (exclusive to FTA / APSA members)
Answers to members questions are available HERE (FTA / APSA login required)

The ABF has also responded to the FTA stating they are currently preparing further formal guidance material to support Australian Customs Notice (ACN) 2022/46

FTA has received assurance from the ABF that a reasonable (to be advised) extension to the 1 November 2022 timeframe will be provided in terms of supplying staff with the new Warehouse and Depot Security Identification Card (WADSIC).

Whilst the ABF will not issue cards, nor will it endorse other card issuers, they have committed to soon provide the form approved by the Comptroller-General for the WADSIC.

FTA is currently liaising with card suppliers and upon receipt of final detail of the approved form will look to provide cost effective and compliant solutions to members.
