Svitzer Australia - Majority Support for Agreement – UPDATE 14

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have today (Saturday, 10 June 2023) received an update regarding Svitzer's National Towage Enterprise Agreement ballot with confirmation that a majority of eligible employees (63%) have voted in favour ('Yes') of the agreement.

Please note the Agreement now needs to be ratified by the Fair Work Commission (FWC) which may take some weeks.

The agreement is for four years from date of FWC approval.

Svitzer executive stated "Most importantly, it provides a valuable platform enabling us to drive reliable and efficient towage infrastructure and enhance the productivity, safety and decarbonisation of our ports and shipping industry.
