Australia joins the Asian Shippers Alliance

I am delighted to confirm today's news that the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) has been accepted as Australia's representative to the prestigious and influencial Asian Shippers Alliance (ASA).

Further to last week's member notice outlining my  involvement in Petaling Jaya, Selangor Malaysia at the the ASA and Global Shippers' Alliance annual meeting and Global Shippers' Roundtable, a 'country report' was delivered demonstrating the ability of APSA [and Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) as secretariat to APSA] to make a constructive contribution to the ASA.

Having been accepted into the ASA, APSA / FTA now have a unique opportunity to share experiences with member nations from Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, Macau, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Malaysia, to intervene in the field of international transport and trade in a joint and coordinated way to promote the evolution of regulation, markets, and practices, which will enhance and better facilitate the flow of goods within our region.
