Agenda 231031.pdf
Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) are delighted to extend an invitation to exporter, importer and freight forwarder members to a specially convened meeting of the Global Shippers Forum (GSF) Container Shipping Performance Working Group where we will be presenting and discussing analysis of the European Commission's decision not to renew the Consortia Block Exemption Regulation (CBER).
For members' reference, the Commission's decision was informed by analysis specially commissioned from MDS Transmodal.
We are extremely fortunate to have MDS Transmodal's Mike Garratt and Antonella Teodoro join the meeting to present the key points of their report.
The meeting will also address the consequences of the Commission's decision, including:- will this mean the end of alliances and consortia serving European ports?
- what impact will this have on liner services in other parts of the world?
- how will the EU's decision influence the position of other countries (including Australia) currently undertaking reviews of shipping competition policy?
Please join us for exclusive presentations and informed discussion at 10PM AEDT on Tuesday 31 October 2023.The meeting agenda is attached.
