Qantas Freight Operational Update 21

Friday, October 27, 2023

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) continue to engage with Qantas Freight senior management on the impacts to industry due to Qantas Freight system cutover issues.

FTA / APSA as per previous updates, continue to engage with Qantas Freight executive on the proposal that as a limited form of compensation and show of good faith, consideration be given to waiving terminal fees for the affected period.

Qantas Freight have provided the following update via their website as at 1230 AEDT 27 October

Qantas Freight is continuing to listen to customer and industry feedback on requests relating to import terminal service fees during our system change in late September. We are committed to returning our customers confidence and will be sharing an update on further measures we plan to extend to industry later next week. We appreciate everyone's patience as we work through this plan.

Invoicing

We're in the process of reconciling invoices for domestic freight and international Terminal Service Fees for shipments impacted by the delays at our terminals post our system cutover. We'll provide you with updates once we've confirmed expected timings for distribution.

Domestic fuel surcharge

As the fuel surcharge information is normally included in domestic invoices, we've published the previous and current surcharge (effective from 21 Oct 2023) on our ground handling and other fees page.

Claims help

If you wish to make a claim for delayed or damaged freight, follow the prompts on our Contact us page. Time limits on claims and actions apply and can be found in our international conditions of carriage.

Collecting freight

For freight that is still in our warehouse, customers are being contacted directly to arrange collection. If you have freight that has not yet been collected, please arrange collection as soon as possible.

Contacting us

If you need urgent assistance, our Customer Service Team is on hand to help and can be contacted on 13 12 13. Otherwise, please send your query through our Contact us section.
