Ongoing informal talks on reforming the WTO's dispute settlement rules are nearing their conclusion and the "finish line is within reach," members were told at an 18 December meeting of the WTO's Dispute Settlement Body (DSB). Members also made statements on several outstanding dispute matters where rulings have been issued and they once again considered a proposal by 130 WTO members to start the selection process for Appellate Body members.
