DP World Brisbane - landside delays and increased costs

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received advice from DP World Brisbane over recent days in terms of systems / equipment outages and maintenance of their Automated Stacking Cranes (ASCs) used to load and unload trucks within the Terminal.

FTA / APSA sought reprieve from DP World in terms of waiving Terminal Access Charges (TACs) for duration of the PIA to reduce the associated costs that are cascading down the supply chain.

This request was denied.

Meanwhile our state and Federal Governments scratch the heads questing why we have spiralling supply chain costs, inflationary pressures and increasing cost of living pressures.
