Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received advice from DP World Brisbane over recent days in terms of systems / equipment outages and maintenance of their Automated Stacking Cranes (ASCs) used to load and unload trucks within the Terminal.
According to the Container Transport Alliance Australia (CTAA), these outages combined with ongoing Protected Industrial Action (PIA) is resulting in truck waiting times exceeding 5 hours - read more
FTA / APSA sought reprieve from DP World in terms of waiving Terminal Access Charges (TACs) for duration of the PIA to reduce the associated costs that are cascading down the supply chain.
