Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) wish to advise that the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) has issued Industry Advice Notice 1-2024 advising of the "under review" status of Fumigat SRL (AEI: IT4007SB).
Following identification of indicators of non-compliance, Fumigat SRL (AEI: IT4007SB) has been placed under review on the Offshore BMSB Treatment Providers Scheme to ensure biosecurity risk is managed whilst a review into the provider takes place.
The company has been listed as 'under review' on List of Treatment Providers.
The company may no longer perform treatments on Australian and New Zealand bound consignments.
The department may direct any consignments treated by Fumigat SRL (AEI: IT4007SB), including those in transit, for any action considered reasonable to manage the biosecurity risk posed.
