Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) wish to advise that the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) is making changes to enable faster document assessment clearance times with the introduction of the External verification for eCerts (Eve) service.
The new eCert product will enable accredited persons the self-serve access to view available electronic government -to government certificates in order to undertake document assessment activities under the class 19.2 approved arrangement.
There will be a number of additional countries coming on line through the eCert/Ephyto system in the near future.
The department would like to provide an initial demonstration (at a date to be specified) of the product to Industry participants noting it will be of particular interest to Accredited Brokers under 19.2 Approved Arrangement.
Members interested in attending are kindly requested to convey their intention directly to the department through email at STEPS@aff.gov.au by the close of business on 9 February 2024.
