IAN 2024-05: NEXDOC Dairy – Utilising 'MyPrint', printing New Caledonia certification and AEPI registration guide

Date of issue: 7 February 2024

Date of effect: 7 February 2024

Attention

  • Registered dairy exporters, manufacturers, agents, freight forwarders, and automated export permit issuers.
  • Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry - Central and Regional offices.

Purpose

  • To notify stakeholders about the print functionality, 'MyPrint,' within the Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system, and to highlight that certification for New Caledonia can now be conveniently printed in your own office.
  • To remind stakeholders of their ability to authorise their own export permits, known as a request for export (REX).

Key Points

MyPrint

  • Certificates can be printed in your own office by using the 'MyPrint' function. You can request 'MyPrint' permission when you register as an exporter on the NEXDOC portal which can be accessed through the department's online services. This functionality now includes certification to New Caledonia.
  • Alternatively, you can confirm your 'MyPrint' functionality in the 'Account' tab on your NEXDOC Homepage.
  • You will need to choose your print indicator and print destination when lodging your REX. There are two print indicator options: 'automatic' and 'hold':
    • 'Automatic' means the certificate will automatically generate and be ready once the REX is approved.
    • 'Hold' means the certificate will remain at 'draft' status until you are ready to generate and print the certificate.
  • If your certificate status is 'Printed' but you haven't received your certificate, please check your print indicator and print destination. Certificates may have printed at a departmental regional office, or the 'Print' button may not have been selected on the certificate overview screen.

Please note: 'MyPrint' is unavailable for the below certificates as they must be printed at a regional office, as they require a manual signature and stamp for authentication:

  • European Union transit certificate – ZDEUHT
  • Turkiye – M496, ZD016T, ZDENS1, ZD001T
  • United Kingdom - ZDGB01, ZDENS1, ZD001

Automated export permit issuers

  • To approve a REX under the Export Control Act 2020 and associated Rules, you must register as an automated export permit issuer (AEPI). If you would like to become an AEPI in NEXDOC, you will need to register as a client group or exporter and in addition, register as an AEPI.
  • As part of the approval and ongoing verification of your application, the department will review your/the company's supporting procedures and documents to ensure accuracy and ongoing compliance.
  • Once your application has been assessed you will be notified of the decision through the NEXDOC portal inbox. You will then be able to review and approve export permits.
