Public consultation further extended on stage 2 of the ESCAS review

Purpose

To advise stakeholders that the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has further extended consultation for stage 2 of the Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (ESCAS) review.
 

Key points

• Further to EAN 2024-01, the department has extended stage 2 consultation.
• Consultation will now conclude at 5:00pm AEDT on Thursday, 28 March 2024.
• The decision to extend consultation was due to the current high-priority situation with the MV Bahijah and several stakeholder extension requests.
• The department is committed to ensuring stakeholders have adequate time and opportunity to provide informed submissions.
