EXPIRY OF ALL CUSTOMS BROKER LICENSES 30 JUNE 2024

Monday, March 4, 2024

All customs broker licenses are set to expire by the end of June 2024.

For those intending to maintain their customs broker licence for the upcoming triennium  (July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2027)  completing an application for license renewal is imperative.

Australian Border Force plans to dispatch the "Application for Renewal of Customs Brokers License" package to each licensed customs broker next month.

To ensure the accurate delivery of the renewal package, it is vital for customs brokers to verify their contact details in the Integrated Cargo System (ICS) no later than mid-March 2024.

Maintaining up-to-date contact information within the ICS remains the sole responsibility of each customs broker.

Moreover, it's essential to remind colleagues or acquaintances who might be on extended leave, of their obligation in this regard.

It's unfortunately all too common for renewal notices to go astray, resulting in the inadvertent loss of licensing status.

Should this occur, obtaining relicensing would necessitate an entirely new application process for a Customs Brokers Licence.

For any queries regarding this notice, individuals may direct their inquiries to Broker Licensing via brokers.licensing@abf.gov.au.
