In a bi-lateral meeting with Australian Border Force (ABF) executives in Canberra on 26 March 2024, Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) gave a commitment to provide support through our networks, media and professional development programs to help prevent prohibited vape products passing the Australian border - further detail HERE.  

As a part of this approach, the ABF will be presenting at the following events and will explain to members how they can assist in managing this risk.

NOTE:
  • Customs brokers will obtain a total of 27 CPD points for attendance at these two events - this, combined with the mandatory 3 CPD point course to be hosted online by the ABF later in the year (timing to be advised), will meet the 30 CPD point requirement for 2024/2025 licensing period (1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025).
  • Detail is yet to be provided in terms of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC) requirements for this licensing period - further updates to follow.
