Draft documents for Industry comment - revised conditions for approved arrangement classes 1.1 and 1.3

Good afternoon

The department has been undertaking a review of the approved arrangement conditions for the following approved arrangement classes: 

  • Class 1.1 sea and airfreight depot (unrestricted), and
  • Class 1.3 sea and air freight depot (restricted).

 As a result, a revised draft class 1.1 sea and air freight depot (unrestricted) conditions document and a revised draft class 1.3 sea and air freight depot (restricted) conditions document will be published on the department's website for the purpose of seeking Industry feedback. 

These two draft documents will available as of Monday 22 April 2024 at the following location Conditions for operating approved arrangements - DAFF (agriculture.gov.au). 

The department invites you to provide feedback or comment on the revised draft class 1.1 and class 1.3 conditions documents by using an online 'Have Your Say' tool. The 'Have Your Say' tool will be provided on the department's website at the following location Conditions for operating approved arrangements - DAFF (agriculture.gov.au). The tool will be located alongside the revised draft 1.1 and 1.3 conditions documents. 

The 'Have Your Say' tool will made available on the department's website on Wednesday 24 April 2024 and will remain open for your feedback, until Monday 17 June 2024

Additionally, staff from the department's Approved Arrangement Program will be providing a short presentation at the upcoming Section 77G & Approved Arrangement Forum being held by Freight Trade Alliance (FTA).  Approved Arrangement Program staff will be discussing the revised draft class 1.1 sea and air freight depot (unrestricted) and class 1.3 sea and air freight depot (restricted) conditions. The Forums are scheduled for: 

  • 1 May 2024, Sydney
  • 10 May 2024, Perth
  • 15 May 2024, Melbourne
  • 11 June 2024, Brisbane
