On 20 March the department released the Biosecurity Advice Notice 2024-A02, with the draft report reviewing the biosecurity risks of fresh beef and beef products derived from bovines born and raised in Canada or Mexico and legally imported and slaughtered in the United States.

This consultation period has been extended until 11:59 on 03 June. More information on this updated risk analyses can be found here.
