Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has received advice from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) advising of the confirmation of the variation to  approved arrangement class 19.  The intention to vary approved arrangement class 19 was communicated on May 8 2024 via IIAN 85-2024

Approved arrangement class 19.1: non commodity for containerised cargo clearance

The variation allows approved arrangement class 19.1 accredited persons to direct containers requiring a rural tailgate inspection to an approved arrangement class 14.4 site when goods packed in the container are subject to further biosecurity concerns.

Approved arrangement class 19.2: automatic entry processing for commodities

The variation removes the obligation on customs brokers to retain copies of eCerts or present them if directed at an inspection location, where these are available through the EVE system.
