WSI Logistics (Sydney) to cease operations as of 1 July 2024

Thursday, June 13, 2024

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have been in contact with WSI Logistics (WSI) who have announced they will cease operating on 1 July 2024.

The official notice is available here.

WSI have featured prominently in the Sydney CFS depot scene over the years handling significant container volumes, with over 120 containers unpacked as late as the latter half of the past month.

FTA / APSA have received confirmation directly from WSI Managing Director Andrew Costi in order to reassure members that all WSI Logistics customers have been notified in order to make arrangements to ensure all goods are dealt with prior to the cessation.

Any members concerned regarding any shipment which may still be customs held or undelivered beyond the cessation date are encouraged to contact the relevant consolidator / delivery agent for their respective shipment as soon as possible to confirm any change (if required) to the nominated container freight station (CFS) prior to the 1st of July.

FTA / APSA further confirmed with WSI that, despite their intention to continue as an FCL transport provider, they are formally surrendering their 77G Depot licence as per Australian Border Force (ABF) licensing conditions. Consequently, no extensions will be possible beyond 1 July 2024 at the WSI facility.
