| | | | Welcome to this month's edition of Port of Brisbane News.
Members from our Trade team headed west in June to meet with stakeholders from the beef, pork, poultry, and grain industries, while we are set to welcome the final shipment of wind turbines for storage to the Port this month, for the Wambo Wind Farm Stage 1 Project.
Our Safety 1 Forum is shaping up to be a fantastic event, with former professional rugby league footballer and motivational speaker, Darius Boyd, joining as our second speaker to talk about mental health. We're looking forward to this port community event in August.
We're continuing to invest in the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, with improvement works underway to enhance the world-class facility.

The massive cargo is hard to miss if you're driving around Fisherman Islands, with each blade 80m long and base tower component 5.85m wide.
Stored by our customer Qube, the componentry will eventually be transported to the site near Jandowae for construction. |

Over the last 12 months, around 60% of Australia's refrigerated beef exports were handled through the Port of Brisbane. It was fantastic to connect with many of our supply chain partners and Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise at the conference! |

| | BICT improvement works More improvements to the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal (BICT) are being rolled out over the winter months to further enhance the world-class cruise terminal.
In June, works commenced to add more shade to the BICT's outdoor waiting areas taxi rank marshalling area, increasing its capacity and improving vehicle flow. Additional shade structures are also being installed on a number of outdoor seating areas.
The expansion of onsite car parking is also approaching completion, with PBPL constructing approximately 340 new car park spaces for cruise passengers and staff.
Thank you to all visitors for your understanding and patience during these works. |
