Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have started receiving reports from members suggesting information has been received from Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) at various origins indicating they have suspended their transhipment services handled through the transhipment ports of Singapore and Tanjung Pelapas into Australia and New Zealand.
FTA / APSA have reached out to the senior management team at MSC (Australia) for comment in order to confirm or deny the information coming through from members, with no official announcements having been received at this point in time.
