Purpose To notify exporters that India's Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD) has extended the timeframe for acceptance of the current health certificate (template ZD035) for exporting milk and milk products to India until 31 October 2024. Consignments accompanied by health certificate (template ZD035), signed and dated on or before 31 October 2024, and accompanied by a bill of lading confirming the product left Australia prior to 31 October 2024, will be accepted at the border. DAHD have further stated that after 31 October 2024, consignments will only be accepted on the new integrated certificate template. Therefore, exporters remain advised that any consignments departing Australia after 31 October 2024 on health certificate (template ZD035) are at commercial risk. Negotiations for the new certificate are nearing conclusion. The department will provide further guidance once an update on the outcome of these negotiations is available.
