Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) have today received advice from Qantas Freight regarding their new trans-Tasman and Hong Kong schedules across an all-Airbus freighter fleet to maximise capacity and increase frequency.
Qantas Freight have also updated their Flight Schedules page to reflect the new timetables.
Following is the formal announcement and link to the updated Flight Schedules :
New aircraft and more capacity to meet demand
With the arrival of our sixth A321P2F last month, we're launching new trans-Tasman and Hong Kong schedules across our all-Airbus freighter fleet to maximise capacity and increase frequency.
Additional capacity to Hong Kong
We've recently introduced additional widebody capacity between Australia and Hong Kong, offering a total of three services a week to meet customer demand.
- Perth to Hong Kong: for the first time, our new weekly service every Friday provides direct connections to cater for shipments from Western Australia.
- Sydney to Hong Kong: services every Wednesday and Sunday operate on this route, providing more options from both the east and west coast of Australia.
More options to New Zealand
From 26 August 2024, trans-Tasman freighter services will increase to five weekly rotations from Sydney to Christchurch via Auckland, complementing the existing belly space available on our passenger services.
- A321P2F services: four rotations will be operated by the more fuel-efficient aircraft, including a new weekend service.
- A332P2F services: maintaining a weekly widebody service every Thursday to support larger cargo shipments.
Plus, from 9 September 2024, the Tuesday A321P2F service will start in Melbourne, providing more capacity for southern states.
With a strong focus on efficiency and reliability, we're excited to launch these new services, made possible by the flexibility the new aircraft offer to operate the right aircraft on the right routes.
