Information sessions for new self-service cargo status reports

Good afternoon,

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) has released Industry Advice Notice 201-2024, advising of industry information sessions for new self-service cargo status reports.

What has changed?

The department will soon be able to provide, via interactive online reports, details of all entries in progress that have been referred to the department for biosecurity assessment or management under an approved arrangement class 19. This will allow you to self-service and check on the status of your consignments without having to call the department.

The reports will soon be made available on the Biosecurity Portal for MyGovID users via a new 'Industry Reporting' tile. Biosecurity Portal Administrators within an organisation will be able to manage their team's access to the reports.

The reports deliver on commitments to improve consignment visibility for industry and were developed as part of the Simplified Targeting and Enhanced Processing Systems (STEPS) Program. STEPS is an investment in the department's imported cargo ICT systems and business processes to enhance Australia's biosecurity risk management by creating a faster, simpler and more integrated cargo clearance system.

Register for an information session:

A further advice notice will also be sent once the reports are available to use.

To support the release of the reporting, help cards and training material have been developed and can be accessed via Learnhub: https://learnhub.agriculture.gov.au/catalogue?tab=resources&collectionId=211335 or the Biosecurity Portal: https://0379-ecwmproject-uat-prv.powerappsportals.com/
