US - Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) Update 3 Temporary embargo for air freight to USA via Australia from Dili, Noumea and Port Moresby Effective 1 Nov 2024 Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received an update from Qantas Freight announcing a temporary embargo on air freight to USA via Australia from Dili, Noumea and Port Moresby. Following is the full Qantas Freight announcement: Temporary embargo for air freight to USA via Australia from Dili, Noumea and Port Moresby - from 1 Nov 2024 Published 4 November 2024 Due to changes in security requirements, effective 1 Nov 2024, a temporary embargo is in place for all air freight destined for, or transiting via, any port in USA if the shipment originates in Dili, Noumea or Port Moresby and is transiting via Australia. The embargo applies to uplift on all Qantas or Jetstar services. Previous updates US - Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) - Update 1 US - Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) - Update 2 Rejection of Vague Descriptions in ACAS for US - from 12 Nov 2024 Qantas have also announced temporary changes to road access to the container park: Work to commence at Sydney International Terminal – from 4 Nov 2024 Published 1 November 2024 Due to road maintenance at Sydney International Terminal, the main entrance to the container park will be closed from 4 Nov 2024 to 7 Nov 2024. During this time, access to the container park will be via the exit gate next to Terminal 2. The main entrance will reopen on 8 Nov 2024. For the latest updates, be sure to check our website.
