On 26 November 2024, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry released an issues paper for public consultation, in response to requests to update the Importation of Sausage Casings into Australia - Import Risk Analysis (1999). As part of the consultation process and in response to industry requests, the department will be hosting a webinar to respond to questions associated with the review.
 
The webinar will take place on Wednesday 12 February 2025, 2:00 PM, AEDT. On the day, please use the following link to attend the webinar: Webinar Attendee Link
 
Please submit any questions you would like answered during the webinar to animalbiosecurity@aff.gov.au by close of business Monday 10 February 2025. If time allows, there will also be an opportunity to ask questions via chat during the session. We will do our best to answer your questions during the webinar, but please note that some questions of a technical nature that require a detailed response may be better submitted via the department's Have Your Say platform (haveyoursay.agriculture.gov.au/casings-issues-paper). 

In the days that follow the webinar, a recorded video and transcript will be available on the department's website.

To provide time to consider the information provided during and after the webinar, the stakeholder comment period will be extended until Friday 14 March 2025.
