The Future Drought Fund (FDF) is pleased to announce that the Innovation Challenges Pilot is now open for consultation. Developed in response to a direct recommendation from the Productivity Commission's 2023 review, the Pilot will provide $20 million over three years (2025-26 to 2027-28) to fund innovative, transformative solutions to the complex challenges posed by drought and climate impacts. The Pilot adopts a challenge-oriented approach to foster innovative solutions for the complex issues stemming from drought and climate change. We want to test new approaches that strengthen the wellbeing, and drought and climate resilience of rural, regional and remote communities while improving agricultural landscapes. As a first step, we're inviting you to provide feedback on the Innovation Challenges Pilot. Why your input matters The success of the Innovation Challenges Pilot depends on the insights and expertise of people like you. We need your help to: - Identify and define key drought and climate challenges facing Australian agriculture.
