Purpose

To inform stakeholders of the publication of 3 new application forms for livestock exports.

Key points

  • The department has approved 3 new livestock application forms. These forms apply to applications:
    • for a new livestock export licence, approved arrangement or approved export program
    • to renew a livestock export licence
    • for a new livestock registered establishment or to renew or vary an existing registration.
  • These are now the approved forms and replace the previous versions. Applicants must use these new forms. To ensure the correct form is being used, applicants are encouraged to remove templates of the previous forms from their internal files.
  • These forms have been updated to reflect:
    • amendments to the Export Control (Animals) Rules 2021 and Export Control (Miscellaneous) Rules 2021, refer to EAN 2025-02.
    • other minor updates, such as the requirement to provide relevant documentation and information (e.g. an Australian Business Number or Australian Company Number)
    • useability and accessibility improvements to assist with form completion.
  • The way we receive and assess applications is not changing.

Background

Section 377 of the Export Control Act 2020 sets out requirements for applications, including where the Secretary has approved a form for making an application.
