DAFF - Illegal Logging - New Digikit & Fact Sheets

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) has received important information from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) in regard to the Illegal Logging regulatory reforms effective today, 3 March 2025. From today, the Illegal Logging Prohibition Amendment Act 2024 (Amendment Act) and the associated Illegal Logging Prohibition Rules 2024 (the Rules) come into effect. To support industry awareness and compliance, DAFF have today released a new digikit and fact sheets containing key resources and information for distribution to stakeholders: Digikit - for Stakeholders Fact Sheet - Responsibilities for Importers Fact Sheet - Responsibilities for Processors Furthermore, DAFF due diligence toolkits will today be published on the DAFF website under the resources pages for importers and processors.
