Further to previous member notice, Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received the following update from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) via import industry advice notice 104-2025 regarding an urgent outage underway to fix the issue affecting access to biosecurity assessment reports through the Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST).

Who does this notice affect?

Approved arrangement operators attempting to access online reports of entries referred to the department for biosecurity assessment, or management under a class 19 Approved Arrangement, via the Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST).

Information

Update: To facilitate a resolution to the unplanned service disruption of the Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST), the department is performing an urgent scheduled outage to the BCST, which commenced from 10:30am Thursday 03 April 2025 (AEDT). As a result, users will be unable to access the BCST for the duration of the outage.

Please note: The end time for the urgent scheduled outage is unable to be confirmed. The department will advise once the outage has concluded, and services to the BCST have been restored.

Unplanned service disruption detail

From 08:49 Sunday 30 March 2025 (AEDT), the BCST was experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, reports obtained from the BCST may not have been containing up-to-date biosecurity direction data. An urgent scheduled outage to the BCST has been enacted to facilitate a resolution to the issue.

Action

The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
