Fremantle Ports - Kwinana Bulk Jetty Maintenance Completion

Tuesday, April 15, 2025

Fremantle Ports recently completed a successful 14-day shutdown at Kwinana Bulk Jetty, delivering critical maintenance and upgrades to berths KBB3 and KBB4.

Key highlights include:

  • Enhanced mooring capacity (installation of 26 new bollards, 5 new gravity fenders, and 10 new rubber arch fenders) - enabling us to safely secure larger vessels and protecting vessels from damage when moored.
  • Mechanical upgrades to the ALO3 (Siwertell) ship unloader - enhancing unloading efficiency and equipment reliability.
  • Comprehensive testing of high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Safety and quality confirmed by international experts.

This work helps ensure our facilities remain safe, reliable, and fit-for-purpose.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding while we completed this essential maintenance
